Premier calls for pressuring Houthi-Saleh militias to release detainees
Prime Minister Ahmed Obeid bin-Daghar has called the international community and the United Nations to shoulder their humanitarian and moral responsibility, and put pressures on the Houthi-Saleh militias to release the political detainees and abductees.
During a meeting with Chairperson of the Abductees’ Mothers Association Amat al-Salam Rajeh on Tuesday, he condemned inhuman practices made inside the Houthi-Saleh militias’ prisons in Sana’a and other governorates which are still run by them, condemning the detention of thousands of politicians, activists and media practitioners.
He affirmed that the government does best to release all detainees and forcedly disappeared persons, pointing out that a list of their names was handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross, and that he called the organization to seek to release them.
Bin Daghar hailed efforts exerted by the Abductees’ Mothers Association, urging all human rights organizations to stand by values of justice and denounce all sort of violence and persecution.
For her part, Rajeh thanked the premier, praising his follow-up and attention for all activities sponsored by the association.
