National military controls fresh positions northwest Lahj
National Army seized control on Sunday of several strategic areas northwest of Lahj province, after fierce fighting against the Houthi-Saleh rebel militias.
The strategic mountain of “al-Shoaebi” and several other key locations overlooking “ToorAlbaha” district had fallen to the hands of the national troops, following heavy confrontations with the insurgent militias, according to military sources.
The sources told September Net that the confrontations resulted in killing scores and wounding others of militiamen, as well as destroying military vehicles and equipment.
In different context, local sources told September Net that two civilian people were martyred and four others seriously wounded when by artillery shells fired by the Houthi-Saleh militias on residential neighborhoods and areas in Sha’ab area district of “Tooralbaha”.
The names of the martyred are AbdulKaher Abdulrasheed al-Shoa’bi and Abdulfattah al-Atri, sources added.
