Al-Eryani slams Houthi kidnapping of Safer World employees as terrorization act
Minister of Information Muammar al-Eryani has slammed the Houthi kidnapping of the employees of Safer World in Sana’a this week as “a terrorization act.”
Safer World is an international non-governmental organization working to prevent violent conflict and build safer lives.
The coupist militia controlling the capital summoned the organization’s country manager Awfa al-Naami and programs director al-Hassan al-Qawtari and forced them into disappearance and stormed and looted the organization’s premises on Monday.
In a statement to Saba al-Eryani said “the kidnapping of the country manager of an organization working to build safer lives is a terrorization act and reflects the dangerous circumstances in which organizations in the Houthi-controlled areas operate.”
Al-Eryani called on the international community and the UN peace mediator in Yemen to condemn this terrorist act and press the militia to set free all abductees in their captivity.”
He called on all international organizations to move to the temporary capital Aden rather than stay as hostages for the militia in Sana’a.
