Yemen Human Rights Minister Mohammed Askar demanded the international community and human rights organization to save Yemeni children from Houthi recruitment.

Minister Askar said, in a workshop organized by KSrelief in Riyadh on Wednesday, that the Yemeni government does best to protect children, asserting that the child recruitment worsened Yemen’s humanitarian crisis.

Askar criticized the silence of human rights organization towards the child recruitment and sending them to warfronts by the Houthi militias.

He also called the UN Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths to include the Yemeni child recruitment in the negotiation file, praising the Saudi support in rehabilitating child soldiers.
