Pompeo calls Iran to stop supporting Houthi militia
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called on Iran to stop supporting the Houthi militia.
Pompeo said on Thursday that the Iran-backed Houthi militia does not operate without receiving directions from Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei and Commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolution Guards Corps Qassem Suleimani.
Pompeo told Al Arabiya television: We’re very hopeful that this pressure will convince the Houthis that they need to return to the political table”
He explained that the Iran-backed Houthi militia “cant not win in Yemen.”
