The deputy Minister of Human Rights, member of the negotiating team prisoners and detainees Majid Fadha’el, confirmed that the implementation of the kidnappings by the militias is aimed at mixing the prisoners’ files, which is being stopped after the last meeting of the delegation of the Yemeni government.

With representatives of the coup militias in the Jordanian capital, Fadha’el said that the militia aims to increase the numbers demanded in the next phase, especially as the Amman meeting witnessed the agreement to exchange about 2,400 detainees from both sides.

“The militias are working at this stage to mix the papers and take advantages of the period of suspension of the meeting between the two teams, focusing on the cessation of talks to expand the scope of kidnappings of all segments of civil society, to use human shields on the fronts and increase the number of detainees to trade the government,”  he added.

Fadha’el pointed out that there is a big imbalance in the agreement reached in Sweden, because the exchange of prisoners came in general and included the abductees. It is not true and contrary to international laws. The Yemeni government agreed to do so in order to benefit the interests of civilians, but the Houthis use this imbalance in implementing the agreement in their favor to widen the scope of these kidnappings and bets today against civilians without any official justification.
