Marib Dep. Governor, OCHA discuss coordination of humanitarian assistance
The deputy governor of Marib province Abdullah al-Bakeri met on Sunday in Marib with director of UN office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Yemen Sebastien Trives who currently visiting Marib.
The meeting’s discussions focused on the development of a coordination mechanism between Marib’s local authority and the UN organizations for an effectiveness humanitarian intervention and for meeting the needs of the IDPs in the province.
The deputy governor also discussed with the OCHA director and accompany representatives of the World Food Organization, the Office of the United Nations Resident Representative in Yemen and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) arrangements to open an OCHA branch office in the province to organize the arrival of humanitarian aid to provinces neighboring to Marib
