Marib Human Right Office receives 7 Houthi ex-child soldiers
Interior Ministry on Sunday handed over to Human Rights Office in Marib province seven children who were captured while fighting alongside the Houthi militia who recruited and thrown them to the front lines.
Deputy of Interior Ministry, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Salem Bin Aboud, stressed during the handover on the need to rehabilitate and integrate the 7 children before returning them back to their families.
“Schools are the best and right place for you, not the war-fronts to which Houthi militia pushed you”, He addressed the children.
For his part, the director of the Human Rights office in Marib Abed Rabbo Jadee’ said that the office is ready to provide all support and care to the children to rehab and integrate them back to society.
Child Protection Unit in the Joint Forces of Arab coalition to support of legality in Yemen had repatriated last week the seven children to the government to rehabilitate them at the Center for Rehabilitating Child fighters in Marib province.
