Army forces seize cannabis-laden truck en route to Houthi militia
National army forces seized a truck laden with 100 Kgs of cannabis (Hashish) in Marib province in its ways to Houthi militia in Sana’a.
Spokesman of 13th Infantry Brigade Captain Hafed Murad told September that the shipment was captured late on Wednesday by a military checkpoint on Al-Bayda-Marib road while trying to smuggle it to the Houthi militia in the capital Sana’a.
Murad added that the cannabis were canceled inside gas cylinders but thanks to vigilance of the army personnel it was seized.
He explained that the truck driver tried to offer huge bribe for allowing him move on but the soldiers at the checkpoints refused and took him along with the shipment to the concerned authorities.
Captain Murad pointed that large quantities of cannabis were also captured during the past few months while heading for the Houthi rebel militia.
