Army defeats Houthis’ attack north of Sa’ada

The army on Sunday defeated an attack by the Houthi militia, north of Saada province.

Houthi militia elements tried to attack the positions of the national army, on Al-Shami front, but the forces of the 3rd Brigade, in the national army, thwarted the attempt.

The clashes resulted in the killing and injuries among the militia.

During the confrontations, the army took control of a number of hills that had been encircled by the Houthi militia, under Jabal Al-Nar, overlooking the center of Baqam district.

The national army forces, in front of Al-Shami, backed by Arab coalition forces, fought fierce battles for days in a continuous military operation to advance towards Baqem district.
