HR Minister: 320 women still detained in the Houthi prisons

Minister of Human Rights Dr. Mohammad Askar said there are 320 women are still detained in the prisons of the Houthi coup militia, pointing out the government is making great efforts with the international community for their release.

Askar made the remarks in a speech he delivered at the conclusion of Warsaw Conference for Peace and Security in the Middle East, which hosted by the US State Department in Washington and lasted for two days.

Askar hold Houthi militia responsibility over all destructions and violations including killing and wounding civilians, especially women and children.

He called on the international community to support the Legitimate Government’s efforts to support and empower women through implementing Security Council Resolutions in this regard.
