Brig. Gen. Mujali explained in a statement to September Net that the army is making progress and changed the course of battles from the stage of defense to the stage of attack on different fronts, which led to the liberation of many sites and also to heavy losses among militia’s ranks.

“The army troops backed by Arab coalition warplanes have taken control of many important positions in Al-Bayda province amid major collapse among militia’s ranks,” Brig. Mujali said.

The new progress came in response to the escalations of the Houthi rebels in Taiz including shelling the women’s section in the central prison with mortars, killing seven women, including a child who was visiting her mother, and injured dozens of women, he said.
