Army stops Houthi militia attack attempts in Al-Jawf & Nihm
Yemen’s armed forces on Tuesday stopped several attack attempts by the Iran-backed Houthi rebel militia in Al-Jawf province, northeastern Yemen.
The army succeeded to hinder an infiltration attempt by the militia east of Al-Hazm city in Al-Jawf province, killing and wounding a number of militiamen.
At the same time, the army frustrated similar attacks by the rebel militia, in Nihm district, east of the capital Sana’a, during which the army succeeded to repel the attack, killing and capturing dozens of militia.
The army continues to abide by the orders of His Excellency President Field Marshal Abdu Rabbo Mansour Hadi, President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, to cease fire in response to the call of UN Secretary-General to face the consequences of the spread of the new Coronavirus (Covid 19).
