Info. Minister calls on human rights advocates to save journalists from Houthi execution
Yemen’s Information Minister called on human rights advocate organizations and world press institutions to join hands in saving Yemeni journalists from the execution orders issued by the Houthi militia.
In a statement to Saba on Friday, Muammar al-Eryani congratulated Salah al-Qaedi a journalist who was freed from five years of detention and constant torture in the radical theocratic militia’s jail in Sana’a but demanded international organizations to press for the release of nine other journalists, four of them face the death sentence.
Militia-styled courts ordered the reports’ execution on trumped-up charges of spying.
