YNCI Records 407 Violations by the Militia last May
The National Commission of Inquiry into allegations of human rights
violations said it, documented and investigated 407 cases of
violations committed by the Houthi and Salih militias against
civilians in Yemen in May of 2017.
The Commission said in its monthly statement issued on Friday, that
these cases included 44 arbitrary arrests, 132 civilians killed by
indiscriminate targeting, 123 injured, 40 cases of property
destruction, 20 house bombings, 14 individual mine-laying incidents
and 5 extrajudicial killings.
In addition to 10 incidents of enforced concealment, 5 forced
displacement, 3 cases of torture, 6 cases of child recruitment, and
two attacks on cultural dignitaries and medical personnel.
