Fierce battles broke out on Thursday between National Army forces and Houthi-Saleh coup militias in Maqbanah district, western Taiz governorate.

The leader of Maqbanah front, Hameed Al-Khulaidi, told September Net that NA countered militias’ infiltration attempts into its positions of Abdulqwi hill and Al-Barkanah, Maqbanah,

“At least 13 killed and 15 injured in the ranks of militias, while two soldiers martyred and one injured during the clashes”,Al-Khulaidi­ added.

Heavy artillery shelling erupted between both sides in frontline’s areas western Han Mountain, Hethran and Al-Qarn hill of Al-Thabab district.

Meanwhile, NA’s artillery launched heavy attacks on militias’ gatherings in Hethran, Alrod area and Al-Dabh village, leaving number of deaths and injuries in addition to destroying a car belonging to Houthi-Saleh rebels.
