An officer in the former Republican Guard Forces  loyal to ousted president Ali Saleh have been killed alongside with several militias in clashes with the National Army  in al-Selw district southeast Taiz province.

Military source told September net that the National Army forces managed on Wednesday to repel an attacked by the militia on its position , forcing them to flee after killing a number of them, including a military officer belong to ousted Ali Saleh.

Meantime, the coup militia responded to its loses by launching heavy artillery shelling on the residential villages in the district of al-selw ,causing heavy damages to civilians properties and panic among women and children.
