Sana’ makes fresh gains, liberates several villages in Nihm

Army forces have achieved Wednesday new field victories against Houthi-Saleh militias in Nihm, east of the capital Sana’a, in coincidence with intense air raids by Arab Coalition aircraft.

Addullah al-Shandaki, Spokesman of the 7th Military Region, told September Net that the National Army have liberated number of key villages in Nihm including al-Hanishah, al-Jumaidah and al Haj, after forcing the putschists to retreat out of them.

He added that over 36 members from the Houthi-Saleh rebellious militia were killed and wounded in the battles with army.

Meanwhile, Coalition aircraft launched several air raids on militias, completely destroying 4 armored vehicles and 7 patrols with its militants crews, the source said.

Just yesterday, the forces of the army kicked off a wide-scale military offensive aimed at the liberation of the remnant rebels-held positions in the district, and they manged to retake around 20 strategic mountainous sites.
Militias suffered two dozens of killed and injured in that offensive.
