Violent confrontations erupted on Friday between the National Army forces and the insurgents Houthi coup militia in Nate’a district, in the central province of al-Baydah.

Field sources told September Net that army troops repulsed the militias’ attempt to make advance towards its positions in al-Meshwaf area, killing and wounding several elements and forcing the rest to flee and retreat.

The sources said that the army manged also to capture a leader belonging to the putschists during the fighting.

The National military have made significant advancements and victories the the said district during a military operation kicked off earlier to take full control over the province from the Houthi militias.
