A field leader belonging to the Houthi insurgents along with five others militiamen were killed and many injured on Saturday, as they failed to sneak into military sites controlled by the army between Saada and Jouf provinces.

General Deyab Al-Kabli, the commader of 103rd, said that the army forces repulsed attempt by the Houthi militia to advance towards Al-Qadamil and Sha’er mount, forcing them to retreat and flee the battles. He said the Houthis inflicted major losses in bodies and combat equipment.

At the same time, the national army forces have on Saturday taken control of Majazah and Al-Hashaimah areas in Alab front of Baqem in the north of Saada, military sources said.

Dozens members of the Iran-backed militias were killed and injured, and their combat vehicles were destroyed in the fighting that is still ongoing, the sources said.
