Marib Security seizes quantity of cannabis en route to Houthi militia

Security forces in Marib province seized on Monday 44 kilograms of cannabis (Hashish), which was professionally hidden on board of taxi vehicle.

The Department of Marib Police said that the seized shipment bore the seal of Beirut Youth Council and was on its way to the Houthi militia in Saana, before it was captured by one of the security points on the Saana-Marib highway.

Brigadier-General Mohamed Salem Ibn Abood Al-Sharif, the first Deputy Interior Minister praised the high alert of the security services and its continued accomplishments in protecting security, stability and public tranquility in Marib province.

For his part, Brigadier Abdulmalik Al-Madani, Chief of Police, said that the realized achievements are due to the significant efforts have been made by the watchful eyes of the security in arresting the criminal and outlaw gangs involved in smugglings and collaboration with the Houthi coupist militia.

Marib security have managed to thwart several attempts to smuggle Hashish, expired drugs and counterfeit money all of which were en route to the Iran-backed Houthi insurgents.
