Chief of Staff meets with leadership of Ministry of Defense

Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Abdullah al-Nakha’ee discussed latest developments and fighting readiness of the armed forces during a meeting with the Defense Ministry’s leadership on Saturday in the capital Aden.

Military leaders presented reports to Chief of Staff on accomplishments achieved by their Departments and difficulties facing, as well as proposals for getting the work success.

Lt. Gen. al-Nakha’ee issued a number of directives including activating the Defense Ministry’s Department of Monitoring and Inspection and providing it with needed requirements to assume it duties effectively.

He also stressed on paying salaries of armed forces personnel without any delay.

The meeting stressed on increasing the combat readiness among all military units and taking pre-emptive actions for countering any terrorist acts.

Chief of Staff confirmed significance of enforcing the role of state institutions in Aden and sitting with all political forces to work on solving all issues, pointing out that Houthi militia is the one enemy of all.

Lt. Gen. al-Nkha’ee praised the Saudi-led Arab coalition’s support to Yemeni government and National Army in the battle against Iran-backed Houthi rebel Militias.
