Yemen, Kuwait discuss situation developments on implementing Stockholm agreement
Minister of Foreign Affairs Khaled al-Yemany met on Saturday with his Kuwaiti Counterpart Sabah Khaled al-Sabah and discussed with him situation developments in Yemen.
Minister al-Yemany reviewed developments on implementing Stockholm agreement on Hodeida, prisoners’ treaty and lifting Taiz Siege, pointing to efforts exerted by the government’s team and good reaction to the coordination committee against despite Houthi militia stubbornness in implementing the treaty.
e stressed government’s position on declaring timetabled plan for deployment, commitment to ceasefire, stopping digging trenches and military barricades and facilitating arrival of humanitarian aid to Yemen.
He renewed appreciation of President Hadi and the government of Yemen to the State of Kuwait for their support to Yemeni people and regaining the state and for their active role within the Arab Coalition and as a member in the UN Security Council.
For his part, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister renewed Kuwait’s firm position for supporting the government of Yemen; hoping Yemeni people overcome this crisis and regain security and peace.
The two parties agreed on speeding up implementation of Stockholm agreement for protecting the political approach resumed via Sweden Consultations.
