Arrangements underway for convening parliament’s sessions in Aden, says minister
Minister of State for Parliament’s and Shoura Council’s Affairs Mohammed al-Himyari stated that arrangements are underway to convene the parliament’s sessions in the temporary capital Aden, particularly as necessary quorum has become available.
His statement came as he met on Thursday here with the French Ambassador to Yemen Christian Testu .
Al-Himyari said the members of the Parliament who have been living in Sana’a, their numbers hardly counted 30, are considered to be held hostages by the Houthi rebel militia since December 4, 2017.
The French diplomat applauded underway efforts aiming to reconvene the parliament’s sessions in Aden.
