Vice President Lt. Gen. Ali Mohsen Saleh said that the “Decisive Storm” is a historical Arab decision that has achieved victory against Iran’s and Houthi militia’s sectarian project in Yemen and the region.

He made the remarks in a statement to Yemeni News Agency ( Saba ) referring to the military operation launched by Saudi-led Arab Coalition against the rebel militia in March 2015.

“The historical decision of the Coalition and the response of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi’s call was an intrinsic Arab decision that unified our causes and destiny under the umbrella of the GCC,” the Vice President said.

He pointed out that aspirations and hopes of the Yemenis to join the GCC has become ever near.

The Vice President stressed that government is committed to the principle of peace for which it has offered many concessions in the previous rounds of peace talks.
