Army forces finds Houthi minefield eastern Hodeidah

National army found a field of landmines planted by Iran-backed Houthi militia in the east of Hodeidah city western the country.

The 2 square kilometers field located near the Red Sea Mills in the eastern neighborhoods of Hodeidah.

The field contains more than 2000 landmines and IEDs of multiple shapes .

The engineering teams of the army forces started to extract these landmines and clear the area.

On Tuesday, national army destroyed 600 landmines and improvised explosive devices planted by Houthi militia in main roads, beaches and residential areas of the city.

The Houthi militiamen planted thousands of landmines and improvised explosive devices in residential neighborhoods and public roads in various areas under their control, causing hundreds of civilian casualties, mostly women and children.
