Def. Minister: Yemenis reject to run by Houthi militia

Yemen’s Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Mqdashi attended on Tuesday a graduation ceremony for new batch of the military colleges cadets graduated from the Russian Federation State.

In his speech at the ceremony, the Minister stressed that the Yemeni people backed by their military institution are rejecting to turn back and refusing to rule by Iran-backed Houthi rebel militia.

“The goals had been achieved to restore the homeland and liberate it from the grip of the Houthi militia is not a little”، he said.

He also confirmed that the armed forces are committing to continue struggling to protect Homeland, Revolution gains and Republican system till liberating every inch of our beloved homeland.

The Minister described the graduation ceremony as a decisive moment that marks an annual feast in their life and expressed his happiness to sharing graduates these incredible moments.

He expressed his appreciation to the honest support of Saudi-led Arab coalition to the legitimate government and their significant role in defeating the Iran-backed Houthi militia.

Al-Mqdashi hailed army’s achievements in various warfronts over the country.

For his part, the Arab Coalition commander in Marib Maj. Gen. Hamdan Al-Shamari, emphasized Saudi Arabia’s continued stand with the Yemenis to counter the Houthi militia used by Iran as a tool to threat the security and stability of Yemen and the region.

“Saudi Arabia confirms its firm position to continue providing support at all levels to the Yemeni government and the national army to achieve victory, restore legitimacy, security, stability and safety”, Al-Shamari added.

The graduation ceremony was attended by several military commanders.
