The Yemen’s Journalists Union have expressed concerns over the violations against journalists and press institutions by the separatist militia that seized the temporary capital Aden several days ago.

In a statement, the Union said it received reports that armed separatists “broke into the house of Ali Saleh al-Eesi, a journalist in 14 October daily who is now a fugitive outside Yemen, tampered with its content.”

The separatists barred journalists from entry into workplaces such as the national TV and radio channels and the national new agency.

The Union called on the forces that control Ade to stop these practices and to spare the press their abuses and crackdowns.
