Consultative Council condemns separatists’ rebellion in two southern cities

Yemen’s Consultative Council (Majlis Ashura) has condemned the bloody attack by separatists in south Yemen which led to the capture of the temporary capital Aden and Abyan province within the past two weeks.
Armed militants from the Southern Transitional Council and the Security Belt seized Aden on August 11 and Abyan more recently in what the council described, in a press release, as “a rebellion against the internationally recognized government and a serious threat to the unity, security and stability of Yemen.”
The Council said any support to this rebellion is a hostile move that means to confuse the Yemeni government’s and Arab Coalition’s key battle to counter the Houthi coup in the country’s north.
