Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Mansour Bajjash discussed Thursday with Chinese Ambassador to Yemen Kang Yong coordination between the two countries in the 42nd Round of Human Rights Council to be held next week in Geneva.

Bajjash praised Chinese support to Yemen and rejection of politicizing human rights file and voting against western countries’ decision for extending the task of prominent experts’ team.

The meeting tackled facilitating measures to Yemeni students who have scholarships in China.

The meeting also tackled developments in Yemen after UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council’s rebellion and government’s firm position of keeping security and rejection of any use of violence by the southern militia.

For his part, Chinese diplomat confirmed his country’s support to the internationally recognized government and for its right to impose the rule of law across Yemeni soil. He also confirmed China’s continuous support to Yemen’s unity, security and stability.

China will continue to reject attempts by some western countries for politicizing human rights file and will support government in this regard, stressed Chinese diplomat.
