MASAM removes 5812 Houthi-laid mines in September

The Saudi Project for demining in Yemen MASAM announced that it had removed 876 landmines and unexploded ordnance planted by the Houthi militia during the third week of September.
Project Manager of MASAM Osama Al-Gosaibi said that the engineering teams had removed 259 anti-tank mines and 23 antipersonnel mines.
The teams also removed 574 unexploded ordnance, and 20 explosive devices, Al-Gosaibi added.
He pointed out that 5812 mines and unexploded ordnance have been removed since the beginning of the current month, September.
The total of what has been removed since the launch of the project until 20 September reached 90637 varied between mines, explosive devices and unexploded ordnance, he stressed.
