Defense Minister: Yemenis will not accept going back to the past

Yemen’s Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Muhammad Al-Mqdashi chaired Saturday a meeting joined Heads of Ministry’s Departments and Corps, discussing administrative work and latest developments in the ministry.
Commander of the Joint Operations Maj. Gen. Saghir Bin Aziz attended the meeting also.
At the meeting, Al-Mqdashi said that Yemenis and their Armed Forces will not going to the past or turning against the objectives of revolution, the republican system and unity.
They also are determining to end Iran- backed Houthi rebel militia and all subversive projects in Yemen.
“Today, Yemenis are engaging an existential battle against the remnants of the imamate, priesthood and colonialism and making great sacrifices in order to achieve the revolution goals of September and October, which made the history of Yemen”, he pointed out.
He conveyed the greetings of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, and his deputy, Lt. Gen. Ali Mohsen Saleh, On the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the glorious Revolution of September 26, 1962.
He appreciated the key role played by the brothers in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, led by Saudi Arabia, in the joint destiny battle against Houthi militia and ultra-groups.
