Yemen’s National Army in Marib Province seized on Sunday 50 kilograms of Hashish bound for the Iran-backed Houthi rebel militia.
The cannabis were found hidden under the feet of a woman on a Prado car at one of the army checkpoints in the Marib-AlBayda highway.
The smuggling driver tried to exploit the woman’s presence to deceive and avoid being inspected by members of the army forces who were fully watchful and successfully discovered the drugs.
The cannabis business has been increasingly growing and thriving in areas under the control of the Houthi rebels and it is also being consumed regularly by the militia fighters.
Noteworthy, the Military and Security forces in Marib had previously been able to seize several and huge quantities of Hashish carefully concealed disguised while on their way to the Iran-backed Houthi militiamen.
