The national army on Sunday made strategic progress east of the southwestern city of Taiz, following clashes in which 13 Houthi militiamen were killed and wounded.

The army forces launched a surprised attack on the Houthi militia stationed at the hilltop of “al-KHader”, and managed to liberate it from the rebels.

The regained hill is very important location sine it overlooks a road linking the districts of “Saalah” and “Demnat khadeer”.

The attack killed three Houthi rebel militiamen and injured 10 others.
