MASAM removes 4,911 Houthi-laid mines in the 2nd week of Feb.

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center’s Project Demining MASAM has removed 4,911 landmines in the second week of February 2020.
The cleared explosives planted by Iran-backed Houthi militia, included five anti-personnel mines,161 anti-tank mines, six explosive devices and 4,739 unexploded ordnance, according to the Center’s statement.
MASAM engineering teams have managed to remove a total of 134,259 landmines since the project launching.
The Iran-backed Houthi militia planted all these landmines and explosives, in various disguised shapes, on public roads, in schools, farms and people’s houses.
As a result, large number of Yemeni children, women and elderly have been killed or sustained critical injuries including amputation and disabilities.
