The Iran-backed Houthi rebel militia has continued to break a ceasefire in various fronts in Al-Jawf province, northeastern Yemen, since the early hours of the truce.

The Houthi rebel militia attacked army positions east of Al-Hazm city, but army forces prevented and thwarted those attacks and forced the militia elements to flee.

The commander of the 22nd Brigade, Brig. Gen. Abdu Abdullah Al-Mekhlafi, told September Net that the Houthi rebel militia on Friday launched an attack on the area of Al-Jadafer, but the army repelled the attack, killing and wounding some Houthi rebel militia.

“The army has committed to stopping attacks since the early hours of the ceasefire, but the Houthi militia has never stopped attacks or artillery shelling,” he said.

The Houthi militia carried out artillery shelling on army positions in different areas east of the same district, he said, adding that the attacks were responded to.
