Yemen’s armed forces on Sunday impeded the Iran-backed Houthi rebel militia attack attempts in Nihm front, east of the capital Sana’a.

The Houthi militia several attacks attempted on army positions in Salab front, west of Nihm district, but the army succeeded to thwart them, during which the militia suffered heavy human and material losses.

The army continues to adhere to the orders of His Excellency President Field Marshal Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi, President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, which calls for a ceasefire in response to the call of the UN Secretary-General to deal with the consequences of the spread of the new Coronavirus (Covid 19).
