The official spokesman of the armed forces, Brig. Gen. Abdu Mujli, confirmed that the Houthi rebel militia took advantage of the cease-fire to continue its attacks on national army positions and commit crimes and violations against Yemeni people since the beginning of the ceasefire that the armed forces committed to, in line with the orders of the President of the Republic and in response to the Arab coalition and the UN call.

“The Iran-backed Houthi militia has carried out more than 1,428 attacks on national army positions in various battle fronts and civilians since the truce came into effect on Thursday, April 8th,” Brig. Gen. Mujli was quoted as saying by the official news agency of Yemen (SABA).”

“The Houthi militia attaks varied from launching ballistic missiles and Katyusha rockets to launching offensive operations, pushing reinforcements, whether human or combat vehicles,” he added.

Mujli noted that the attacks by the rebel militia targeted positions of the national army in Marib, Al-Bayda, Al-Jawf, Al-Dhale, Taiz, Hajja, Saada and Hodeidah provinces.
