Yemeni armed forces on Thursday repelled several attacks by the Iran-backed Houthi militia in Qaniya front, in Al-Bayda province, central Yemen.
In the early hours of the morning, groups of Houthi rebels tried to advance towards army positions in Qaniya front, but the army repelled those attempts and launched a counter-offensive.
During the counter-offensive, the army succeeded to advance and secure some strategic areas, killing and wounding some Houthi militants and destroying a number of their combat vehicles.
The army continues to follow President Hadi’s orders for a cease-fire in response to the UN call.
