Army thwarts Houthi attacks, secures number of positions western Taiz
Yemen’s armed forces on Saturday repelled attacks by the Iran-backed Houthi militia, west of Taiz , southwestern Yemen.
At dawn, groups of rebel militia sought to advance towards positions in the vicinity of Mount Han, but the army monitored and foiled the attack.
The army successively launched a counter-offensive, in which it succeeded to secure a number of areas from which the Houthis were launched the attacks, killing and wounding of a number of Houthi militiamen and destroying of a number of combat vehicles.
Army continues to follow the orders of the President Hadi, to ceasefire in response to the call of the UN.
