Army repels Houthi attacks in Nihm, secures number of positions

Yemeni armed forces on Monday repelled attacks by the Iran-backed Houthi militia in Nihm front, east of the capital Sana’a.
The army succeeded to thwart militia attacks, force them to retreat and flee, after killing and wounding a number of militiamen.
The army then launched a counter-offensive, in which it succeeded to advance and secure a number of positions from which the Houthi militia attacks were launched the attacks.
Moreover, the Houthi militia bombed army positions in Lahjj province, Al-Dhale proninces in southern Yemen.
In Hajjah province, northwest of Yemen, the Houthi rebel militia shelled various army positions, and the army responded to the attacks.
The army continues to abide by the instructions of the President Hadi, to cease fire in response to the call of the UN to face the new Coronavirus “Coved-19”.
