With battles raging between the Yemeni armed forces with direct support from Arab coalition aircraft and the Iran-backed Houthi rebel militia east of Sana’a province, the fierce fighting caused heavy losses among the militia, a military source told September Net.

The army on Tuesday imposed a siege to a group of Houthi militants in east of Sana’a, after being trapped, killing and wounding a number of them, and retaking a number of armored vehicles, ammunition, and light, medium weapons, which were in the possession of the rebel militia, the source added.
