Yemen’s armed forces have thwarted an attack by the Iran-backed Houthi rebel militia in Al-Malajim district, al-Bayda province, in the center of Yemen.
The commander of the 153rd Infantry Brigade, Brig. Gen. Abdul Rahim al-Aqili, said that a group of Houthis tried yesterday evening to advance towards Wadi Fadha in Al-Malajim district, with the aim of achieving any field progress in the front.
He said the army thwarted the attack and forced the Houthi militants to flee, killing and wounding a number of them.
