The Armed Forces Spokesman, Brig. Gen. Abdu Mujali condemned the cowardly terrorist attack that targeted a security point on Tuesday in the coastal city of Ahwar, Abyan governorate.

In a statement to ‘September Net’ Brig. Gen. Mujali said the treacherous attack resulted in the martyrdom and injury of 29 security members, while 7 terrorists were killed and one captured.

The Spokesman said that at a time the Ministry of Defense and the Presidency of the General Staff condemn the cowardly terrorist act, they affirm on proceeding with strength and solidity against terrorist gangs and organizations, noting that integration between military units and security services will defeat the terrorists, whoever they are, and foil their schemes.

“Yemen is a partner in the fight against terrorism. We are determined to continue implementing combat and security tasks, working to secure roads, imposing the presence of the state, and preserving security and stability of citizens in various liberated governorates”, Brig. Gen. Mujali said.

He pointed out that the operation carried out by Al-Qaeda today is further evidence of its affiliation with the Houthi terrorist militia, stressing that the blood of the martyrs and the wounded will not be in vain, and that the people and their military and security institutions are capable of defeating both of them.

The spokesman hailed the heroes of army and security and their great sacrifices in various fields, praising support of the coalition to support legitimacy and its stand with Yemeni people to restore legitimacy and state institutions and to fight the coup and terrorism at the same time, as they are two sides of the same coin and posing threat to our national gains and the interests of our brothers and friends.
