Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Muammer al-Eryani has expressed strong condemnation for the brutal attack carried out by the terrorist Houthi militia in the Maqbana district of Taiz governorate.
The minister expressed his outrage specifically towards the Houthi militants who bombarded the house of a villager named Faisal Mohammed Moqbel Azhari with artillery.
Tragically, the attack resulted in the death of five innocent civilians and left 12 others injured, with the majority of the injured individuals being women and children from the same family residing in the village of al-Ghowsha.
Additionally, al-Eryani pointed out that this horrifying massacre adds to a series of deliberate killings committed by the Houthi militia, who have been targeting civilians in Taiz for nine long years. The region has already been suffering under the Houthi’s oppressive siege.
Given the severity of the situation, the minister has called upon the international community, as well as the United Nations and human rights organizations, to unequivocally condemn this abhorrent act.
He urges immediate action to be taken in order to put an end to these war crimes. Al-Eryani stresses the significance of holding the perpetrators accountable for their crimes against humanity.
