Marib Deputy Governor, Dr. Abd-Rabbu Meftah, has emphasized the urgent need for increased humanitarian intervention in the region.

During discussions with a visiting team from the Malaysian Muslim Care Organization, Dr. Meftah highlighted the growing needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and the hosting community in Marib.

“The governorate has received a significant portion of the country’s IDPs, accounting for over 62% of the total”, he added.

The Malaysian team, led by Mohammed Fadhil, expressed their objective to gather firsthand information on the humanitarian situation, establish partnerships with local authorities, and determine priority areas for their organization’s assistance in the future.
