Yemen Govt Condemns Houthi Attacks on Red Sea Shipping

September Net – The Yemeni government strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s continued attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea, accusing them of acting on behalf of Iran’s destabilizing agenda.
In a statement Tuesday, the government warned the assaults threaten maritime security and risk environmental disasters, urging the UN and international community to take firm action.
It held the Houthis and Iran fully responsible for worsening humanitarian conditions, blocking aid, and militarizing regional waters.
The government reiterated that ending the threat requires backing Yemen’s legitimate authorities and armed forces to restore sovereignty and peace.
