For days, the fronts in Taiz Governorate have witnessed a military escalation by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia.
The militia has intensified its attacks on Armed Forces positions and residential neighborhoods in the city in a desperate attempt to achieve any field victory.
The Houthi terrorist militia’s escalation has varied, including artillery shelling, sniper fire, and the use of drones, in addition to reinforcing its positions and repeated infiltration attempts towards the army’s positions on the eastern and northern fronts of the city.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the army repelled Houthi infiltration attempts on the Kalaba and Al-Tashrifat fronts, following clashes that resulted in the martyrdom of three army heroes during their defense against the attack.
In a statement to September Net, the Eastern Front Commander, Colonel Abdulhakim al-Shuja, confirmed that the army forces foiled the attempt by the Houthi terrorist militia and forced the infiltrating militia elements to retreat and flee.
He indicated that all the militia’s attempts are doomed to fail in the face of the vigilance and readiness of the Armed Forces’ heroes.
Colonel al-Shuja clarified that over the past days, the militia has continued to mobilize its elements on a number of fronts in an attempt to escalate the fighting.
However, the heroes of the Military Axis are in a state of full readiness to deal with any new attacks and infiltrations, affirming that the morale of the fighters is high and their belief in the justness of their cause makes them more steadfast in their positions.
Simultaneously, the Houthi terrorist militia continues to shell residential neighborhoods inside the city with artillery and rockets, resulting in civilian casualties and increasing the suffering of the population, who have been living under its siege and constant bombardment for years.
