Defense Minister Launches Electronic Military ID for Fourth Region and Defense Units

Defense Minister Lieutenant General Dr. Mohsen Al-Daari witnessed on Sunday in Aden the launch of the electronic military ID card for officers in the Ministry of Defense’s departments, the Fourth Military Region, and independent units.

The project, implemented by the Human Resources Authority, aims to verify and unify armed forces data as part of the government’s reform program to regulate state administrative records.

Minister Al-Daari congratulated attendees on the occasion of Yemen’s revolutionary anniversaries and commended the efforts made in preparing this national project. He emphasized that issuing the electronic card aligns with the ministry’s direction to build a modern military institution based on discipline and keeping pace with technological developments.

The Minister stressed that accurate data enhances administrative and financial control within the military establishment.

Brigadier General Ahmed al-Marzuqi, Head of the Human Resources Authority, highlighted the card’s importance in regulating armed forces data, addressing discrepancies, and reinforcing military discipline.

Brigadier General Ali al-Houri, Director of the Officer Affairs Department, outlined the efforts in preparing this project to organize and unify military database in accordance with defense leadership directives, presenting the card’s features and issuance procedures.
