The Yemeni government delegation announced today that they have reached a near-total agreement to release approximately 2,900 detainees and abductees from all parties and fronts, following the 10th round of talks in Muscat, Oman, in the presence of the UN Special Envoy Hans Grundberg.
This breakthrough aims to bring an end to the suffering of thousands of families who have been affected by the conflict.
The agreement stipulates that the Houthi militia will release 1,200 detainees, including prominent politician Mohammad Qathtan, Saudi nationals (including two pilots), while the Yemeni government will release 1,700 detainees.
This move is in line with the directives of the Presidential Leadership Council to release all detainees without exception.
